New Delhi: Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Krishna Swaminathan commenced a four-day official visit to Mauritius running from August 10 to August 13, 2026. The visit is aimed at consolidating bilateral maritime ties, enhancing operational-level linkages, and deepening strategic defence cooperation with the island nation, which serves as a key security partner in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR).
The high-level naval deployment aligns with India’s overarching vision of MAHASAGAR (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions) to ensure stability, safety, and economic prosperity throughout the global south and regional waters.
